Welcome!
Camping is half of this "Overlanding" fun! The other half is finding the right vehicle to take you where you want to go. Sometimes the 2nd half involves modifying said vehicle.
Either way, jump around this forum and have fun!

Thank you Tx, I am no stranger to modifying four wheel drives. This is just a different purpose built modification. Thank you.

I love camping, dunno if I have what it takes to do this but I want to learn more. Looks like a great site, I'm looking forward to being a part
I am in the same boat, where I started was taking all the car camping gear out of the acura tl, bought a 4runner loaded it in that and went camping. The spirt of overlanding is to get out see the world and meet people. I have been spending the last few months micro managing my mod list that I haven't really did anything. My next weekend off we are gona spend the 20 mins, load up and drive. I suggest you do the same and you will find you're answers soon enough.

Honestly I don't think k you need a 4wd to overland. Most of the trails I go on very rarely have required 4wd.

I see too many people worry about what they are driving and forget to just get out there and experience. Take notes and upgrade as needed.
