Sometimes the best trips are the ones that aren't really planned. A trip home to see family turned into a cool back road overland trip and some unforgettable memories. The main focus of the trip was to visit family that isn't doing well after spending time in CT with my wifes family we made the trek to Barre VT to visit with my grandmother and pay respects to my grandfather who passed in 2016. From there a spur of the moment trip was planned to spend July 4th with my other grand parents and my mom at my families cabin on Lake Harris in New York's Adirondack mountains. We opted to take the senic route over the green mountains and over Lake Champlain via a cable ferry. Once at camp we spent the 4th hiking and hanging out with family before flying back to SC.
