TX to Las Vegas (1st time overland)

Hello, planning my first trip in December to visit inlaws. Right now we'll be leaving from San Antonio with the only currently planned stops being around Santa Fe and the Grand Canyon.

Looking for suggestion for scenic routes, stops, attractions or trails along the way. We'll be traveling in our jeep LJ, no trailer. Appreciate any support.

If you go through Williams, AZ make sure to eat at the Pine Country Cafe. The food, service is incredible and the prices are good. Also if you get the chance check out the Peach Springs Canyon, Hualapai Indian reservation trail. This trail has a fee but is well worth it. As far as I know it’s the only trail that enables you to drive and camp at the bottom of the Grand Canyon on the Colorado River.The people in the office issuing the permit and ranger were very helpful.
