I so dislike running the Interstate, yet for some portion I feel I will need to to get into the southern tier of the US. Then it's off the Interstate and run byways westward.

I don't know how the roads would be running through Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana National Forest in Jan/Feb. Second thought is to travel along the Gulf Coast routes...

Anyone from the region or experience in the regions?

Didn't know of it and just took a quick peek. I will dig in a bit and see how I could include it! What's it like in Jan/Feb??
I have no idea... I'm up in northern Idaho. Have you tried sending out some messages using the radius tool on the member map? It's a great way to canvas an area.

Plan #1 works just Florida and out to The Keys. Staying mostly on National or State Lands.
Plan #2 is head for Florida and hang a right (west) and travel the Gulf Coast to San Padre Island.
Plan #3 is plan #2 extended into Arizona.

I expect to see snow/cold weather till basically the Gulf Coast. There's a multitude of National Forests traveling west through the southern states, yet with any elevation, I figure snow/cold weather conditions. I'm asking, hoping someone hear my have first-hand knowledge of weather in Jan/Feb through here.

So... to answer the question... not determined yet! LOL
ETA to departure... 30days.
