Has anyone completed the Trans-Taiga Road in Quebec Canada? A group of us are considering making a run next year from the Washington DC area and I wanted to get some first hand intel from an overlanding perspective. Cheers.

.It’s on our list, and we’ve done some research, but the best resource I found is this:

Let’s do it!.
I like the graveltravel.ca site.
Haven't done it, but have been checking into the Trans Taiga too, as well as the James Bay Road, North Road, and Hwy 109, also in Quebec. The James Bay Road site has info on all four in the left sidebar.
Another place I've been checking out is the thread on Adventure Rider entitled The Making of Cross Canada Route . Though meant more for riders, like the TAT was originally, a lot can be deduced from the info about parts appropriate for vehicles with more than two wheels.
As places in the states become more and more used, sometimes overrun, by convoys of off-roaders, or just plain more crowded, I find myself drawn more to remote roads elsewhere.
I've explored the Maritimes at length in the past and have always wanted to explore further into Labrador, Newfoundland, and northern sections of both Quebec and Ontario. Been up around the St Lawrence River on the Quebec side as far as Sept-Iles, and in winter, and though drawn to go further, had to get back.

Thinking you meant Road vs me on the message? But I will say I’m much like Road in that I do a lot of stuff solo. Be it hunting, hiking, fishing, or do I dare say “overlanding” I like to be on my own schedule, doing my own thing, and don’t mind the being alone. That said I catch myself often thinking I’m pushing it on safety. So joined up in hopes of finding others that have the same interest and maybe after a little vetting a crew to do some adventures with.I can respect that. I’m happy to post the details of any ‘group trip’ I’m on and whomever can join is always welcome. The majority of my time is spent traveling on my own, so I’m actually looking forward to doing some trips with others and connecting with likeminded folks. Appreciate your message Ghost, and hope we cross paths at some point.

Wanted to provide an update and extend an invitation. A few of us are confirmed to travel to and complete the Trans Taiga, departing from Northern VA, this October. If anyone is interested in meeting up and/or traveling with the group, please reach out to me directly. We are budgeting 14 days for the round trip from VA, with a little time built in for contingency. If you’re interested, let me know!
.I can't commit now but will keep an eye out on this thread.

As of right now, we anticipate departing Northern Va on October 18th. This will ensure we are past mosquito and black fly season and the heavy snow up there..
Same here, I'll keep an eye on this thread.
I'm on the Maine coast right now. Headed back down to the borderlands of West Texas and New Mexico in a few weeks, where I'm likely to wander 'round for a few months. No definite plans after that, but would like to be back up in Maine and the Maritimes for autumn.
Thanks for the heads-up!

Appreciate it. I’m guessing the barricades will be long gone and the dust well settled by the time we make our way there. I do appreciate the mention of it, however. You can never be too careful in this world, and our goal is to always ‘tread lightly’, be it environmentally, culturally or otherwise.Who ever is organizing please take note of what is happening in Ontario, Quebec, well in Canada in general.
The rail blockades.
However this ends I'm sure there will be hurt feelings on both the government and the native peoples sides for some time to come.
What I'm trying to say is please be mindful of this if planning a trip across native lands or reservations.
