Hi,
I'm the proud new owner of a 2015 4runner and I'm dying to put some trail miles on it. Does anyone know some good trails anywhere near New Orleans?
Thanks man! Hopefully I can find some places locally to help me learn the capabilities of the vehicle before I take on some more advanced trails out west.
There really isnt too much in South Louisiana. I know there is Canal road in Mississippi but you need to go when it hasn't rained in awhile. St Francisville has this http://www.4x4lifeoffroad.com/ which is 60 dollars on Sundays and they are guided. I read that there are some OHV areas in the Kisatchie National Forest and I am going to try to see if I can locate them in a few weekends. There is also Sicily Island https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sicily-Island-Offroad-Park/114597218627085 . Avoid the Bonnet Carre Spillway unless you want to get ticketed.
i just bought a jeep and st francisville tunica hills seems to be the closest. I used to make the 3 hour trip to mccomb ms to the creek but this is closer , haven’t been yet 4x4 life puts it on and is about $60

Tunica is very fun when it’s dry, trails are very tight. I have a 2 door Jk and I have trouble sometimes. There is also camping out there if you like. You can also join the property for $500 a year and ride/camp any weekend you want. It’s fun and very worth the $500.
