Busy day prepping the exterior for paint. Choose a color and bought the paint. Sanded and cleaned the exterior aluminum. Fenders built. Bought quarter inch plywood for interior walls and ceiling. Hopefully tomorrow get corner caps completed and paint it. Maybe get plywood mounted inside.IMG_20180310_1102240.jpgIMG_20180310_1201577.jpgIMG_20180310_1202032.jpgIMG_20180310_1204237.jpgIMG_20180310_1336085.jpgIMG_20180310_1336285.jpg1489_1520727163976.jpeg

Got the corner caps welded and installed with Silka 292i. Suspension installed, Timbren 3500 HD. Got a start on installing the panelling inside.

Next steps... finish fenders, exterior paint and finish interior panels.

Originally I had intended on pvc panels inside but the wood was so much cheaper.1497_1520800615392.jpeg1495_1520800607044.jpeg1492_1520800596924.jpegIMG_20180311_1217097.jpgIMG_20180311_1203070.jpgIMG_20180311_1202461.jpg

Took a couple of weeks off from the build. Spent the day today working on it. Inside has all the plywood walls and ceiling installed. Prepped it for paint and painted it. Color didn't come out as expected, looks exactly like primer, was supposed to be darker tone and more silver than grey. I can live with it, should look better after the corner trims are painted black, fenders black, etc.

Plan for next weekend is to get the roof rack done, install the solar panel, paint the trim and mount the spare tire on the rear of the trailer..

The last phase will be a tongue box, mount a rotopax, traction ramps, a pelican case, awning, etc to the trailer.

So...two more weeks? Interior will get finished after that. Got a shake down weekend trail trip planned for late May before a 12, 000 km trip out west in the mountains of Alberta and BC which starts in early June.

My goal zero yeti 400 got destroyed over the winter so ordered a new 400 lithium one. The old one lasted for a few years and served me well, the lithium one will be a nice change (lighter, no worries of draining the battery, etc).

All in, I'll likely be in to the trailer for about 9000 Canadian dollars (7000 US?). A bit more than I was planning to spend but it should last for decades and will get lots of use.
