Toyota 4Runner sport 2002

I was driving the other day and my 3rd gen. went quiet and died. The dealership said my engine seized and can’t be rebuilt. They quoted me 7k for used engine with 150,000 miles. It’s my dream ride, any ideas anyone. I paid $11,000 3 months ago.

Any ideas, any ideas or great insights would be helpful

Stay away from dealers. My son drives a 98 4runner limited so this caught my eye. Did a quick search and came up with this: Used 2002 Toyota 4Runner (3.4 Liter Engine ,Vin N).

Don't know all the details about your ride but I'm sure you can score an engine for under 2K. Stay away from dealerships!!
