I am planning of replacing (upgrading) my tires with a wider 265/70/R17 M/T or A/T (BFG K02 or KM3) is it going to rub or I need new set if wheels with offset? currently is a stock 245/75/R17 All season lots of slippage on my first offroad in a washboard and fire road.

@jcdalman Sounds like you going for the same size. A 245/75r17 is 31.5inch and a 265/70r17 is a 31.6. If your only looking to go up a little in size say almost a inch. Go for a 255/75r17 that would put you at a 32.1 and popular size due to it being a JK Rubi stock size. Or go 33s and with a 285/70r17. The only reason I would say no for me on the 245 vs 265s you are sacrificing side wall height for width. If it was me and wanted to stay relatively stock 255/75r17s , best of both worlds wider and taller but will clear nicely on stockers. I hope this helps!

Staying with a 17 inch rim and tire combo is the correct thing to do. OEM direction is more and more a standard 20 inch wheel, which is exactly what you do not want in a off-road vehicle. You get decent air down ability with a 17". Some models out there offer a 18 inch wheel which is probably the limit for practicability when airing down. I like my older 16 inch wheel size, good foot print, and good sidewall protection.
