Kinda makes sense, I mean Thule makes a lot of racks and baskets, so why wouldn't they. Often times your better off to acquire a business already in production then starting from the ground up.

Although personally I find thule to be really expensive.

I bought a Yakima Skyrise 2 tent and broke half the Zippers by the first trip. The second trip started letting plenty of water into the tent. Yakima completely failed in the Roof Top Tent arena. Hopefully Thule does better.

It’s big corporation creep...I’ve been in the snow sports business for over 20 years and we have seen acquisitions of small cutting edge companies by larger companies for decades now. It can go really good or really bad. It can be said also about the beer world in which my wife works. I hope for the best but it’s a wait and see kinda thing...
