A drive in the wilderness cures political thoughts. Rivers, mountains, and other forms of wilderness care less about red or blue. That is the beauty of nature. Never met a tree or river yet with a political agenda.
Where i live blue is making it harder to access the places I love exploring, and most importantly taking away my 1st and second amendment rights

Same here, no gatherings... All businesses are required to put up signs saying masks are required, they can be fined by the dept. of labor...

I stopped in Sandpoint ID last Wednesday, ate in a restaurant (well outside, could have ate inside) I didnt know how much I missed that...

I have to recommend Baxters on Cedar in Sandpoint.
I ate ate a Mexican place in Kellogg yesterday, Ahh, memories.

Here are some photos of Monday and Tuesday's Gallagher Head Lake Overland Trip: LSOC Gallagher Head Lake Overland Trip
Looks like you guys make some good runs. Selah isn't too far from the Tri Cities, if your group is ok with a tag along let me know when you head out sometime...as long they don't mind a soccer mom Grand Cherokee

"soccer mom" GC, I prefer to look at WJ's as chubby, frameless LJs ;) And yes that is some good trails, need to shrink a bit before I can try that. Actually thinking about another XJ, missed mine since I got rid of it.

How’s the roads to Table Rock from Jubilee lake? I’m thinking of spending several days up there star gazing. We are in the middle of the summer Meteor Shower, and we have a Comet (NEOWISE) within our Orbit.

I didn't run it myself, but a guy I was camping with the weekend of the 4th went home that way and said it wasn't too bad. Sounds like there is mud in a few places but there is a bypass around the worst of it. You can make it to Table Rock from the south but not too far past as there was still a drift blocking the road. Also sounds like there was possibly snow blocking the road that turns off Skyline going to Table Rock.

We have a run at Juniper Dune October 10th.
I drive by Juniper at least twice a day (our farm is out past it) but haven't been out there in probably 20 years. I haven't even gone down the new road they put in to the entrance, might have to drive down there today just to check it out.

Last time I was there was for a clean up in April 2018. I have not been there since the new road went in. We normally camp in Smith Canyon. I hope it is still open to camp.

From what I hear, since the new road went in it is always packed out there. I'm up and down the kahlotus highway all day and starting mid day Thursday it is nonstop campers and pickups with bikes until Sunday night. I know a group of guys that used to deer hunt out there but since the road went in they don't go anymore, too many people hunting and the extra people the rest of the year have ran the deer of into our fields... which the deer being in our fields isn't a bad thing for us if we want to hunt them.

Cascades Trip!
20200710_113926.jpg

@PNW EXPLR and I have been kicking around the idea of a weekend trip over to the Cascades for some camping and exploring. We don't have all the details hammered out yet but we are planning for the weekend of 8/1 arriving that Thursday afternoon/evening. It will be a base camp trip with runs on Friday and Saturday maybe a short one before packing up Sunday morning. Trips will probably be into Little Naches area up to Ravens Roost and a loop onto Bethel Ridge including some spur roads. Trails will be mild consisting mostly of FS roads but with some actual trail mixed in to keep things interesting. This trip will be limited to 5 rigs for social distance reasons. Camp location isn't decided yet but we have a couple of ideas. Hope to have final details and RP set by Monday for those interested.

Thank you for the update... a couple of things just hit my schedule so I won’t be making this trip for a couple more weeks.

And if any of you need a new rig and don’t what to do with all of your money, I spied this on the dealers lot in Hermiston Friday. No, I didn’t look at the price, afraid to know. But a new lifted JLR with the Leitner rack setup ain’t going cheap, nice through.721800F6-48DB-44A4-B498-186A63180436.jpeg
