My Tembo Tusk Skottle arrived last night. Solid design and construction - I am super impressed to say the least.
SO, what should my first meal on it be? Having never cooked on one, I wanted to see what people had success with.

We eat pretty much everything except fish, so bring on the recommendations!
Nice!!! My wife saw them on Instagram the other and said we should also be one. Lol. You know me I'm not complaining.

Aside from being delicious, fajitas are great overlanding/camping food cuz you can prep them ahead of time and freeze for the trip (if necessary). Plus, tortillas are very versatile (aside from fajitas, you can make breakfast burritos, wraps, etc...), stable and pack easily.

But mostly, they are damn delicious!

Congrats on getting your Skottle! That's on my wishlist. Not sure if you've seen this already, but it appears that Tembo Tusk is putting together a Skottle cookbook, gathering up favorite recipes from users. I don't know when it'll be published, but it sounds like it's going to be great!

Ive been interested in one of these. They look like a quality product. I like the simple design. Looks like it assembles easy and requires little upkeep. Its just not in my budget right now. Wants vs needs stuff.
If i was still on the road all the time i could justify needing one hahaha.

How about Perogies, kielbasa & veggies... Always a favorite in our camp.
There's nothing like a Polish Feast when away from home! My Babcia would be proud!!!!

I was going to fire up the Tembo on Saturday and make some steak and potatoes, but I ended up falling asleep in my hammock - which was completely awesome - so I didn't get a chance; but this just gave me an awesome idea!!! We're having friends over on Friday and they're always making me eat their awesome Italian food, it's about time they took a ride over to Poland with me!

Glad you liked the idea. It was one of our favorite meals from our last outing. Keep an eye on the TemboTusk website for the release of the skottle cook book. They should be releasing in the near future. We submitted this one to be in the book along with several others.
