Expedition Master I
Hey All,
Thanks for coming along to check this out, it's going to be a long drawn out build that I don't intend to rush. The Defender is such a good utilitarian base that's readily available in here in the UK that I don't feel it's going to need heaps of work to travel. I did originally aim to import a Toyota 70 Series V8TD from Australia, but funds are not all there and my previous Land Rover Discovery was a too impractical, it is a 3 Door model which made it difficult to utilise all the space.
The Defender is a 1997, 300TDi County model that has been used previously as a Expedition vehicle by the only owner, He took all over Europe and Africa to collect information on wildlife. Since it has been retired from his use it has had a fresh paint job, and a full engine rebuild plus some nice new seats, so it's almost like new again, now that I have it, I intend to take it all over the world, again!
