I have just come back from leading a trip for my 4WD Club out into the Great Western Woodlands (Outback Western Australia).

It was a quick 8 day trip which I would have loved to last longer :grinning:

The Great Western Woodlands is approximately the same size as England but with less than 50 000 people living there and most of them live in Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie.

I hope you enjoy the photos.

Last lot - I hope you enjoyed them.

How many does it take to change a tyre (and yes that is the correct way to spell it :laughing::laughing:)

The sheep yards at Pergande Homestead - these were made from sheets of granite rock collected from a nearby large granite rock and are over 100 years old.

Thanks for the photos - love the wooden road!

Clearly a gap we need to fill - when we were in the area (arriving from the Nullarbor) we took the Balladonia Road to Duke of Orleans Bay, then wandered west more or less along/near the coast (with a short 600 km side trip to Wave Rock and back and stops at Fitzgerald River, Stirling Ranges, and a few others places) to Margaret River, Perth/Fremantle, then north....
