Hey folks, I’ll try to call dos Rios today or tomorrow and see if they’ll do a group rate for us. So let me know if you will be staying the night or pushing for the day trip.
I’ll be camping there that night doesn’t mean you have to
Overnight would be great as well!

Haven’t forgotten, just been busy and I will be out this weekend on a family trip. As time permits and cell coverage allows I will try and get camp information out on how we need to reserve our site.

Just so nothing gets lost in translation this is what the dos Rios camp ground said, if for some reason this will not work for you please let me know before I reserve ($50 non-refundable) our site on Monday:

“We would be happy to host your group. I have a single site ( tent 3 ) that can handle 10 tents with plenty off parking nearby.
I prefer a single point contact who coordinates and handles the payment. Fee’s are 25$ per tent, normally 2 adults with kids.
Please make sure everyone understands they cannot drive on the site. It is a leaching field and cannot handle heavy loads.
The site is shady, has a hammock, fire pit, picnic table and is near the bath house. A single 110v outlet is nearby.
Check the link below for pictures and more info about the park.

Bob”

I was going to use my roof top tent, also sounds like it doesn't make sense to bring the trailer. It's no problem, I do have a ground tent I can use.
Yeah, I told him we had folks with RTTs, his reply was parking is only 100’ from the camp site. I’ll be in a ground tent.

Yes, we have a RTT also. Did they say if they had RV spots available. We have actually had to do that on a trip before.

also, I looked through most of the route... is it possible to camp near some of the washes or crossings, of course staying away from the water plane, along the route? Again, totally unfamiliar with this part of the country.

IIRC, the land alongside the route was pretty much private property. But, I wasn't actually looking for anything other than where the road took me.

I think there are RV spots if that’s what you want to do. I don’t know the price on that though.

Sorry, folks, I've just gotten some new marching orders for the next couple of weeks, so I'll have to bow out of this trip. I hope everyone has a GREAT time, and that the rivers are passable! See ya next time.

Ok who do I need to pay I have a cabin tent so if push comes to shove it can handle about 2 to 3 couples if thay don't mind close quarters
