Talimena Drive Oklahoma to Arkansas

First day of Fall starts tomorrow. With that is the changing of leaves so I was wondering if any Okies or others are interested in meeting up at Robbers Cave State Park for Camping then driving the Talimena. What dates are you thinking? The wife and I are doing a little trip into Ouachita National Forest in the Broken Bow area the second weekend of October (coming up from Dallas). Is that route all scenic highway?

was thinking more towards end of Oct and Early Nov. Keep watching leaves and checking their web site for best time to view.

Is that route all scenic highway?

2 lane road with pull offs to get some scenic views.

We ran down there a week and a half ago for a quick weekend trip for a wedding.

Planning a camping trip down there for next fall, hopefully my Jeep will be mobile by then.
