The high point (literally) of our recent trip was at 7500 Ft. We were more than a mile up a steep narrow spur when we came to snow. I scouted ahead on foot and found two feet of snow with no turnaround in sight. We picked the widest stretch of road and disconnected the trailer… This small titanium shovel did a great job of clearing the crust of snow so we could lift and roll the teardrop to complete the U-turn. I would have just backed up for a mile but some of the road behind us was a bit tricky going forward and the drop-off was extremely dangerous.
Hindsight being 20/20, I should have dropped the trailer at the spur junction_ but what fun is that?
