Would like to know if anyone has knowledge of a top open bumper like the jeeps and Cherokee for a 2009 Tacoma. I like the steel bumpers from my past that I built for my truck. With full access to my winch. I don’t like the designs of the bumpers that I keep seeing other than the jeep. I live in Northern California. I 4x4 North and North West of GrassValley also a lot in East of Foresthill just out past Auburn. If you were in South Lake Tahoe looking at the mountains directly across the lake you would see me driving around . Thanks for any help. 60 and not welding any more. I go by REC

Jeeps have bumpers that protrude so the gap on top fits the look. Toyota bumpers are very inset so I haven't seen any that give access to the winch unless you go back to the first gen Taco or third gen 4Runner. People don't like the aesthetic so you'd probably have to get it custom.

Careful what you wish for.

On my previous truck, unplug the winch, remove 8 super easy bolts, and use a forklift to slide the bumper right off. Easy breezy winch service.

I could use my garages loft to hold the bumper, instead of a forklift, in a pinch.

And all the ugly salt wraps and corrosion on the winch, is hidden nicely.

A freind of mine actually drills holes in the bottom of the bumper, to attach bars, for more leverage and control with straps. Use a trans jack, and straps the nose of the bars, to bottom of jack.

An ARB bumper for a Tacoma, with that huge deer guard, would be super easy to hang straight. ARB ain't got jack for 2017 superduties. I'm jealous of Taco guys, on the topic of bumpers.
