Hey y’all I’m looking at getting a 2017 Tacoma. Can y’all share y’all’s experience with them. Pros and cons don’t hold anything back.

CT, take it to a local Taco specialist either independent or dealer - have them validate your 33” tire rotation, to Speedo. They can tweak the computer. It will help with overall travel and transmission. Congrats - drive like tomorrow is going to never happen! DGThanks for the feed back. I just picked me up a 2017 Tacoma today. I’ll try and remember to post some pictures up. It’s already got a lift and 33 inch tires. That’s what I wanted anyway so it was a bonus for me. What little I have drove it I love it.

This was tough to read and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I too lost my brother this year to lung cancer. I'm visiting my older sister this Christmas and she has emphysema as did my mother. Hard world. Take care Sir, and know we're thinking of you. What a month - and Change of events.
In my previous post I mentioned a planned trip to the Olympic National Park, and Peninsula. That trip across 7 days was 2167 miles, with the OD ending at 27990...
Two days later, after several conversations with my older Sister and my younger Brother's DR. We lit out of Boise - for a trip to Chandler, AZ. I spent precious time with two siblings, both in critical condition. [ RANT MODE ON- Nothing Else Matters, than Family! Heal argument's, tiff's, and or ego's! RANT MODE OFF]
We had a great visit with my Mom and Dennis. We had good visit with my older sister. But the reason for the trip was to tell my younger brother that I love him, and gave him a deep long hug. I had said my "Good Bye!" The intent was to return back to Boise, knowing he would pass in a couple days!
My older sister - begged and pleaded, that she could not take my mother to see my brother. We made LOTS of travel changes and arrangement. I walked my mother in to his room. He gave me a Thumbs up. My mother said "We just need you to get healthy, so you can come home!" My brother shuck his head "NO" and on his tablet wrote to her "I am dying" - she could not read it, so I re-read it! I hugged him one last time and changed places with Dennis.
The next morning we headed home. As we were entering into Kingman, AZ - I missed a call from my older sister. Re-fueled and parked - I dreaded dialing her #... My YOUNGER brother passed away! (This was yesterday.) Was headed home through greater Las Vegas we enjoyed several dust storms and lots of Gusts. Half way up SR 93 we got rain, then sleet, then snow, then Blizzard Conditions. I was hoping for 65 - 70 over a couple hours. 4 1/2 hours at 30 mph, with ice wasn't fun, but maybe what I needed to focus upon. The trip to greater Phoenix, two hospitals, and home, across 10 days was 2251 miles. I have never been more happy to home.
Family Matters - I am humbled. THANKS

Yeah, no one notices but the truck has a chopped top. No kidding. Combine that with the nose sticking out indicating a very shallow take off and it's money. I loved mine except the unusable cruise control (gear search nightmare) and towing. (those folks will fight you to death to prove they have a truck that can tow 16,934 pounds of camping trailer and gear) LMAOTacoma. Ultra reliable. Massive after market support. Clean, functional design.
Only one thing keeps me from buying one, the floor is too high or the seat too low but for me they are incredibly uncomfortable on a long drive. My leg goes to sleep.
Jaguar had the same issue with the first generation XKE, two years later they dropped the floor. A few first generation owners cut out the floor and installed the new dropped floor to make it driveable for a long distance. I wish Toyota would drop the floor too cuz otherwise I love the Tacoma for all the reasons stated above.
