Been researching 285/75r16 and the question came up, would it be possible to add the bottom spare? What type of clearance does any one have? Is it easier to have it in the bottom and do you have problems with the hoist system that Toyota installed regarding size and weight? Been aiming on having two spares for upcoming trips this year.

I run 285/75/16 Falken Wildpeaks on my 16 TRD OR. The spare, while it doesn't fit perfectly, works just fine at a slight angle in the lower spare position, and I have had zero clearance issues to date. No issues getting the tire strapped in tight.
