Thanks Sir, the rollers are the cheaper way out for such a large drawer. I did some research and saw this style so figured would give it a try.

Looks good. Is that 3/4 inch plywood for the top and sides? Does that seem thick enough/too thick? I have most of the hardware for my own build and will be getting the wood soon.

Yes it is 3/4 and it is strong enough to lay on and I am 210lbs. does not bow at all. The other parts are 3/4 pine and the bottom of the box is just 3/4 particle board to cut down on the weight.

Great job I have a tundra and I like how you still have bed space on the side. If I may add an idea of covering you stove spot so you have a bit more counter to space? But over all I like

I purchased this shelf and flipped it over. cut the sides down and then riveted it to the back bottom. The 24 inch drawer slides are from lowes.

Good work! I like how you’ve incorporated a unistrut, looks solid.

I’m building a platform and drawers for my taco as well and went with 1/2” plywood and my reference point is the ‘shelf’ on the sides - wheelwells and I have no flex when I’m on it and I weigh 195 lbs.
