Hey Everyone,
I'm on a four-month full-time remote working Overlanding trip. I'm entering the SF area to drop off my gf at SF international to head to Dublin for work which gives me Sunday-Thursday (28th-1st) to go full off-grid remote. I hoping to hit up a spot with great views and a trail to get there (if possible). I'm hoping to be north of SF but open to other areas within a distance of 2-3 hours tops. I've been trying to use OnXOffroad but I don't even know where to begin which is why I'm here looking for a tested off-grid opportunity. Public/blm/forest service etc. is great. I plan to set up for 4 days without moving with one caveat... I need a clear sky to the north.
Ideally, I'm looking for an "easy to moderate" trail to get to it. (I'm in a 100% stock 2021 Tacoma TRD OF but weighed down heavily without a lift or armor.) Photo of my Rig for reference.
I do need to work from my location so an open/clear area without tall trees facing the north is a must. (Starlink) Come work remotely with me!
I have everything I need to be fully pack in/pack out, toilet, fridge, power, 10gallons of water, propane kitchen kit, minimal recovery gear(Spare, Stock jack, maxtraxx, shovel, air compressor.), and an iKamper RTT. I just need an open clearing to settle in at.
Any suggestions as to regions, mountains, certain passes to take, etc would be greatly appreciated. If you are someone who can work remotely and have everything you need but the internet I'll provide the internet for us and you're welcome to join.
By default, I'll just rely on a KOA spot for backup but I really would love to go off-grid somewhere.
