I use both and they both work great. the Plano box works great when adding weather-stripping. A year or so ago someone posted a how to on the weather stripping upgrade.

Bill - here's a three page thread: What do you use to store all your gear? - that will provide info on all sorts of boxes and containers.

Yeah, no problem. I think near the beginning of that thread, too, is another link or two to other threads about containers. I'm a container geek, I admit, and love maximizing available space with the right containers.
You can never have to much stuff lol. Nice to have something for about every situation

I found this today. It was about $17.00. I added a piece of aluminum for the bottom and 4 u-bolts. It's a ammo box designed to slide under the bed. And it dose have a gasket to keep it water tight. We will see.

When I was looking at them, they don't claim to be UV stabilized.... so that was a bit concerning. So, I'm curious how they hold up too!

Please report back.
Will do. Never considered UV. But again at $16 I'm not out much...and my gear fits nicely.

I'm probably not permanently mounting mine ... so UV isn't as much of a concern. But durability still is. I'd feel more confident in them with some positive results/reports from other members. I'll probably wait and see how they perform.

I stumble on to this youtube video comparing the Wolf box vs the Really Useful Box. It convinced me to not spend alot on money on Wolf boxes, but rather get cheap Really Useful Boxes from Office Deport for 1/4 the costs.

Clear plastic is inherently weaker. Those really useful boxes will likely not hold up the same.
