In Michigan certain trail runs (particularly those not accessible using a 2wd vehicle, or scramble areas) require having an ORV license. Some states require these, and some don't. If you know of a state that requires it, please post below, along with ideally a link to the appropriate regulations.

Texas requires you to have one. They expire at the end of August every year.
They do work in other states that have licensing requirements also, or so they say. Since I was heading to AZ a couple of years ago, I looked up their requirements also. They stated that they had a reciprical agreement with Texas, so always check if you are visiting another state to verify.

This is a completely foreign concept to me. If you are from a state that doesn't require this but requires some type temporary license in your state please mention this too.
