You were on the list. Sorry you missed it. It would be great to have a better way to communicate with members close by (25-50 miles maybe?). The member map knows where everyone is, it seems like we could set up a message board area that would notify (by text or email) everyone within a given distance. We could make it an "opt in" feature so you wouldn't be bothered if you didn't want the notifications. It would really be handy for last minute trips / meet-ups / local questions / help needed. Someone bring it up to @Michael & @Corrie, I've gone to that well too many times already ;-)

I'm sure that would work great. My experience of having to post notifications on both the Forums AND Facebook was already a pain in the ass. It would be nice to keep everything in one place (OB Forum).
