I live in southeastern Idaho and am just getting into overlanding and was wondering if anyone has any suggested trails in the area?

For paper maps loook at either Benchmark or DeLorme atlases and gazetteer. Either will show you most of the roads or trails in the area.

If you want to head to campground as a destination get the Ultimate Public Campground app for you favorite handheld device. It shows Forest Service, BLM, state, county, and other campgrounds.

Use these resource to get out there. I usually look at a map and say that looks like an interesting road to drive. Then research the area, pack up and go. The destination is not the goal. Getting out in nature is the goal.

I'm in Rigby. Where are you from? Also, as far as motor vehicle maps, check out the forest service office. I went to the one in Idaho Falls and grabbed maps for most of the state. They're free and very useful. You can also download an app called Avenza Maps, and then on Avenza you can find the USFS motor vehicle usage maps and download them to your phone. It works offline and shows you your current location. I like it a lot.
