Some Camping on Bois Blanc Island

If anyone is familiar with Northern Michigan they might have heard of Bois Blanc, basically it's all gravel road and 2 track. I convinced my sister we should take the car ferry over from Cheboygan and do some camping. We got rained on and there was a lot of water on the North side of the island, but we had a blast and I think her dog enjoyed it too. Very different from my usual camp near an ORV park trips:

Nice looking rig. I'm the same way, 100% of my camping is at an ORV park. I plan on changing that soon though.

hey, I know this is an old thread, but how does camping look up there? I live in the metro detroit area and I'm trying to get info on the island. is it dispersed camping? It looks like you found an actual campsite. what roads/trails are you allow to drive on? do you think a full size truck can maneuver around the island? Thanks for the info.
