I must’ve taken way longer than needed researching it but I didn’t want to burn my truck down when I plugged in some lights or a fridge.
Rebuilding the plywood enclosure to make a smaller footprint and rearranging the components to all fit didn’t help (labor and time-wise) but at least it’s a little easier the second time.
PS: if the op thinks it would help and wants any detailed pics or my, admiiedly, amateur wiring diagram I’d be happy to post them.
I would definitely recommend the book I mentioned as well as Will Prowse’s videos. I found having more than one source invaluable.

Yep. Those are great resources. Will Prowse is an excellent source of all things solar. I was much more prepared building my system after watching a ton of his videos.
