What are you charging? I think I need one but not sure why yet. I run an inventor to power my things.

You should list what you want to charge. The #1 reason is if you run a fridge. Other reasons CPAP machine, charge lots of camera gear, others smarter than me can list reasons.

Bottomline no matter what size battery(s) you have at some point they need to be charged back up. Solar is a great way to do it for most folks without wasting gas and making noise attempting to charge your battery while in camp.

I am happy with my ice chest and I used a 12v frig for years but not anymore I may go back to one. I should have a dual battery in my truck by winter where If kill one battery I can switch to the other to start my rig but camera and go-pro gear is something that I am starting to collect and I haven't thought bout charging them yet. I usually charge things as I am driving and unplug when parked. My dash is getting full, 2 cell phones, dash cam, XM radio, GPS and wires going everywhere. HMM
