If you don't have to get easter baskets ready, and not on tap to cook the Sunday roast, then maybe heading to Carrizo Plains is just your game - I have been wanting to go down to Carrizo Plains and check it out after the rain and explore some of the trails off soda lake road. If interested we will meet up in King City and see what the day brings.
Not sure on the road conditions so 4x4 recommended.

Even if you can't make this trip you might want to go sometime before it starts to heat up - based on the Photos I am seeing it is looking Epic in the plains right now. - - This link takes you to the recent update from Desert USA -

Hi All,
Just to recap the Plains were EPIC! - So many amazing flowers - it is a superbloom.

My first time exploring down there and most of the trails were dry, a few of them were dead-ends - (Gaia shows the road going thru, but that must be just a trail - eg there was no longer a defined road )
The route I did is do-able with a stock 4x4, just a couple tiny technical areas ( mostly ditches).
Roads are dry, all the mud holes are pretty clear, just awesome!

GPX route I took in case anyone is interested is here.

Short Video below, more detailed one will follow later.

See ya down the trail!
