SoCal Off-road Trails

Looking for insights on beginner to moderate trails around the SoCal area. I know there’s quite a bit listed on sites, pages, off-road apps but also looking for trails with scenic views such as creeks, waterfalls (if that’s even a thing in this area), lake access. Any recs?

How far north are you willing to go?

How well are you set up? There's a ton of trails in Big Bear which will be closest. They range from easy to hard. Once it cools down you can spend days in the Mojave, Anza Borrego, Panamint Valley and Death Valley. Venturing north opens up more mountain trails, most of which are fairly easy. I go out fairly regularly and most of the time tow my little trailer with me.
