We've been doing a road trip most Summers for the past 20 years. a lot of that time was spent in Teton county Idaho, on the back side of the Grand Tetons. It is an area called WYDAHO, because there is a part of Wyoming you can only get in to from Idaho. lots of hiking, beautiful scenery, and horseback riding in the Jedediah Smith wilderness. It was only recently during the pandemic that we started watching overlanding channels on YouTube. We're not big on social media. Little did we know how much of a community was out there doing vehicle dependent traveling. We have a 2017 Subaru Outback that we are outfitting for this Summer's trip. We have an ikamper mini, and have made some mods on the car. Next year, maybe a lift kit and some skid plates.
Overland bound has been very helpful and planning this trip and we are looking forward to using the app while we are on the road. This is about the only way to get across the country in a "socially isolated" manner. this is our third Subaru Outback, the first two have over 200,000 miles on them. The new one will hit a hundred thousand miles this summer. Looking for the connecting with other Outback owners to see what they have done with their rigs.
Thanks again to the overland bound team for developing this app.
