We're going to do a couple months in the Southwest this Jan/Feb and see if we like idea. To be honest warmth instead of cold is what I'm all about for a couple months!

I researched the web looking for a site/forum that may have others like minded to hook up travel together. Then light dawned on marble head (me) and thought.. I think I belong to one!

I think I want to start off the run in Quartzite, AZ for the RTR. I hear so much about it and would love to see it. That's mid Jan (18th ?) and with it taking almost a week to get out there, it sounds like a decent starting point.

From there I have another rally I'm thinking of, but also Quartzite, so... don't know about that one.. The thought so far is working through lower AZ (Yuma) and across Nevada. Would love to catch Joshua Tree NP area. I'm coming out of the North East (NH) and still working my travel route westward.

Any that wish to converse about caravanning around the Southwest (AZ/NV) this winter, let's talk! Others that may have suggestions, done it before, or know places/routes that should not be missed,

Was just researching a bit and kinda like this Chiricahua Wilderness area! Anyone familiar? Did find a YT video of folks going during winter season..

I also joined a group called RVillage . It's a site built around traveling and hooking up with others doing the same in the time frame you are. Interesting concept they developed of being able to locate other members while you travel (they have to allow this feature). I love the concept!

I have a couple areas I'd like to know if anyone familiar with AZ/CA border.
First one runs between Quartzite and Joshua Tree NP


The next one is an area of interest as we travel south towards Yuma.


Of those that have wheeled through here.. CA side or AZ side gong south?
