Folks,

Two of us on here are headed to Slickrock trail, Corral Hollow, and Barney Riley. For those that aren't familiar, the first two are near Lake Alpine off Hwy 4. We're leaving the south bay (Sunnyvale) on Fri 6/1 around noon or just after. We'll camp on the Slickrock trial next to the water (1.5 miles in from Hwy 4) that Fri night. The next morning, we'll head over to Corral Hollow for some exploration and will camp on the overlook there Sat night. The next morning, we're heading out to Barney Riley (up Hwy 4, off Hwy 89 near NV border). We'll camp there Sun night near the water. Mon mid-morning we'll pack up and make our way back home. So far two modded rigs are going.

If you're interested in going with us or meeting us on one of the days, post here of PM me.

You may want to see if Slick rock is passable from end to end. There is a project to redirect the trail around some private property on the Alpine Lake end...

We have a fellow OB member that camped there yesterday. Will get the scoop from him. Looked to be all open from his FB posts.

Did you make it to Barney Riley? I was hoping to check out Carson River Hot Springs next month. Any pictures? Thanks
We didn’t bother since the Loope Canyon Rd is closed indefinitely from storm damage. Didn’t want to drive all the way into NV just to get in from the north.

It's open all the way through. I did it two weeks ago. The new property owners are still allowing us to pass through their property while the bypass is created.
