So, after few hours in the broiling Carolina heat and humidity unpacking and mounting my new Tuff Stuff ALPHA hard top RTT today, I took the gallon milk jug that I left sitting in the sun and did a little shower on the back deck. I had drilled four eighth? inch holes in the top. Probably got the idea on here somewhere. Anyway, I was able to take a good shower with a half gallon of water. Hotter than warm too. With a wash cloth got all the important areas and washed with the Wilderness Wash with citronella by Sea to Summit that Roadude wreckormends on his blog. Good stuff. I thought using only half a gallon was pretty good. No record I'm sure but maybe slightly more refreshing than a sponge bath. May try painting the jug black as weather gets cooler or just heat some water if need be.
Then, I was able to relax a while in the shade in my new RTT! They nailed it on this version.

Can't get much simpler than a used milk jug. Not sure about durability but can always take a backup. Just switch tops.

I had a Nemo foot pump shower that I got a while back I think for a hurricane and it works nicely. I just upgraded to the road shower 7 gallon attached to my roof rack and it is incredible!! People walking by get a look of defeat on their face when they see it being used though because it is slick. Great for the beach and camping stuff.

Agree! I tried making some crazy contraption with a 5 gallon water jug and the lid. I eventually caved ( i should say the wife forced me to cave) and bout a RinseKit. It's alright but wish the capacity and "charge" of pressure lasted longer. The Jug idea is great though!

Yeah, I've got one very similar (not the enema bag) and the red plastic nozzle goes first. Just cracks and you can't use it to turn it off. I'm sure I can rig something that would suffice. Did the milk jug shower again today and it worked again! Few more clinical trials and it will be ready for human use. Wonder if I can stick it in the engine compartment to get warm?
