Sheltered in the Bay Area

  • Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

I live in Lincoln, but work in Palo Alto. Palo Alto, being Santa Clara is under the shelter in place order so I'm work from home... do to the nature of my work I can't do a ton at home, so hopefully I can get a few things done on the WJ. Stay safe down there.

Working on my WJ also, re-working the ham installation, adding in a tablet holder for Gaia maps and some stainless steel front brakelines. Taking advantage of some down time and unseasonably nice Washington weather. Hoping everyone stays safe

We're going to need an OB, West Coast/Pacific Northwest WJ rally some day...

I have noticed quite a few WJers in the OB, we could do something perhaps in eastern Oregon (Bend / Crater Lake area perhaps) kind of half way between north and south. Bet we would get a few from a couple of states to the east. Would be cool to compare what we all have Macgyered to better our rigs for overlanding, and get a picture of a bunch of cool jeeps in their native environment.

Interested in seeing what you do for a tablet holder. I'll need something of the same at some point.

I will post up some photos when I am done. Just was not happy with the commercial options available, either too bulky, too wobbly or both. Should have it installed this weekend. Will probably start a thread for the jeep as i have a few other ideas/projects in mind for this spring.
