I've heard of it and think that would be fun as well.

My opinion/position has nothing to do with limiting firearms discussion. We long ago determined that some topics are decisive and can lead to endless arguing. Most forums completely disallow any discussion of politics, religion, or firearms whatsoever. We have these two threads to help members steer through the complicated maze of camping and traveling with firearms.
Gotcha thank you for the feedback ✌

I want to find the natural waterslide up there next time. Sounds cool.
Instead of taking the 2nd right on the trail I sent you, stick to the left and follow it all the way. There's a big area for lots of parking (you can camp there too but it gets pretty windy). Then you hike up the trail about a mile, you'll cross a small stream. Bring bear spray as there is skat all along the trail, and something plastic to slide on.

@chuckoverland Did you camp at the coords I gave you? It sounds like you may have turned right before the road up to the water slide and the campsites I mentioned.

I think we did, so theres more spots further up huh?
It's more of a large parking area but yeah people have camped there. I tried once, but it was too windy for my taste.
Just stay left going up the trail (that's right across the street/gravel area from the Lions Head Campground). It's quite a ways, but you can't miss it since you'll literally run into the barriers. The road turns to the left at the barriers and ends in a big wide opening where you can park or camp.

The meth addicts are abundant in east texas, i carry a s&w 9 on me everywhere i go period, my truck gun is a 10.5" ar pistol which has a magazine lock that is bolted to the frame just so it cant be used or stolen when im not near the truck. Im more worried about people leaning on my fender flares or screwing with my snorkel though
