Pretty ambitious project, to say the least. That 5.0 is a boatload of an engine for the confines of that Dl's frame and shock tower arrangement. My brain is screaming 'push rod engine'. It will be interesting to see what you come up with on final fitment.
I've got a similar build bouncing around my noggin. Neighbor has a 67 109 Land Rover station wagon, frame is wasted...l'd like to set it on the frame/engine/drivetrain of a Dll that l rolled.
