Nevada is a cool place to explore. For our first trip of the new year we went out to Winnemucca Dry Lake to explore the relics there.
There's the MGL Mine and Mill on the west slope of the Nightengale mountains. That was a neat spot. You can 4x4 up the canyon to the mine site.
Further north you can head up into School Bus Canyon where two old school busses are weathering away, helped by sporadic pelting with projectiles, including bowling balls.
There is more 4-wheeling up canyon and many more mines and mine sites. Definitely worth a day or weekend trip.
