Trying to keep it simple, lighter weight up top and less $$.
Used a stainless metal pegboard panel mounted to OEM roof rack crossbars. ($34 on Amazon).(Going to get shorter bolts so they don’t hang down).

Amazon. Looks like price already went up.
Thanks. I did have to “open” the aft end of the sheet metal pegboard to accommodate the 4 gallon Rotopax. This was easily done with a pair of channel locks and many small bends. 5 mins tops.

Looks good. Great idea on the pegboard option. Only advice I can pass on is I have had issues with the fuel cans leaking just a bit of fuel. I have found the "o-rings" tear and do not seat well and you have to be very diligent on tightening them down.
