MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. —
Los Padres National Forest officials announced that the first phase of repairs to Nacimiento-Fergusson Road on the Monterey Ranger District was completed.
The next phase will see the removal of hazardous trees along the road and the installation of new signs while the road remains closed to motor vehicles until late summer, said officials in a media release.
For those who don't know this road is the only West-East Rd thru Big Sur and was torn apart by winter storms the last few years.
