Not this time around, this was out on BLM land in Mecca. I live equidistant to there and Joshua Tree, and Anza Borrego is only another 20 minutes.Perhaps a canyon in Josha Tree NF?

Thanks. We were at Succor Creek campground for one night, which is close to the Idaho border in Eastern Oregon. It was recommended to us because of the scenic canyon. The campground was acceptable, especially since it was nearly empty. People apparently hunt for thunder eggs there.Great scenery. Is that a road or a hiking trail going down to the Lake picture? And where is that located?

Sorry to take so long to reply to your q's...The lake shot was looking down from the summit of Steens Mountain at Wildhorse Lake. There's a narrow footpath down to the lake, but no road.Great scenery. Is that a road or a hiking trail going down to the Lake picture? And where is that located?

Ooops. Got my threads mixed up. Last shot was from the Campground at Succor Creek in Eastern Oregon.Sorry to take so long to reply to your q's...The lake shot was looking down from the summit of Steens Mountain at Wildhorse Lake. There's a narrow footpath down to the lake, but no road.
The previous shot is the loop road from Steens Mtn. Last shot is from the Alvord Desert. That's all in the SE corner of Oregon.
