OK straight from the source. There are trails there that are fine and meant for stock vehicles. Two things impact this, the first is weather, if it is wet and muddy easy becomes harder. The second is driver ability, I was told the trails are setup to be technical trails and there are some tight turns and stuff that novice drivers would just need to take there time and maneuver properly and they should be fine.

With the many different rigs that are going we should be able to put together a line up that would allow us to let people know what to expect and give advice and help to the drivers if needed.
So it's $10 for Redbird per day. What's the charge for the camp site? I might have a tent and worse case camp in the Tahoe.

Redbird, Badlands, I really don't care. Let's pick a place and make a plan. What's the consensus? I'm not really into trail damage, as stated earlier.

If @Steve is going which day and time you might come through Columbus?
If I go, I would leave Friday morning. I'm notorious for not having a schedule, so I probably couldn't tell you on Thursday night!

As far as where, I don't care. I'm more concerned about getting my ass out of my tent in the morning, having not slept in one for 22 years...

Lol, me too. It's been since my Army days that I've been in a tent. My wife is not fond of camping. So I have to purchase an air mattress, portable fan, etc. so she'll be somewhat happy. I'm fine with Redbird. If we're not comfortable with the trail, we'll pick a different one. At least we can say we've been there, tried that.

I'm all for Redbird. Camping too. Still wanting to try and get the wife to pull the TT too. If not we will bring the tent. But same here, air mattress and all. More for me too.

Has everyone voted through this feed whether that plan on attending the trip to Redbird? Looking there are 6 people that have said yes but I think I saw that Hank is now out. But it seems that there are more people chatting about it...

I know there are a couple undecided. Plus I have one coming from work who isn't on the forum yet. We also have three months so hopefully we'll attract new members to join in the fun. I'm hoping for ten rigs. I think that would be a good number.

I will be trying to attend and quite possibly may have a couple other rigs along with me if it shakes out right.

Make sure you check some of the trails and do not follow their guidelines explicitly. I walked a bit down a couple trails and passed even though they looked good at the start. It is one of those places that once on a trail...you may not be able to turn around since they are tighter than most. They have some bypasses but not as plentiful as Badlands. Ask around and people there can likely offer advice.

I am sure you can wheel a stock-ish rig all day and have fun, but some of the "moderate" stuff we did was a bit more than i would call moderate.

There is a big-ass hill climb that you can watch some people attempt. Couple hundred feet and multiple routes up and down.

Also if someone wants to flex and test there is a V notch I have seen done by a bunch of jeeps

It always starts that way. HAHAHA

There is a boulder garden at bottom of the hillclimb I have seen some rigs get a bit squirrelly on.
