Question about Line-x

I have several pieces for my Jeep that I want to have Line-x sprayed on. Right now they are bare metal and I have cleaned all the welds and scuffed up the steel and wiped with acetone and clean rags.

I do not have time to do a do-it-yourself kind of truck bed kit. I am way too busy at work for that right now.

Question is (and I can't find an answer online for some reason).........does the bare metal need to be primed before being taken to Line-x? Or can they Line-x bare metal or will they prime and then line-x it themselves?

Mine didn't, they just scuffed up the painted surface so it would adhere better. That was 20 years ago, still good as new.

All I did with mine was to sweep it out. The Line-X guy cleaned, scuffed and shot it. It's been great for 25+ years now.

Their website seems to imply that it works on bare metal. Your best bet is probably to call the local applier and ask.
