I've been busy lately between intense work and family responsibilities (driving a kid to skating practice at 6am). I needed a quick break so I went to our local 4x4 park for some therapeutic driving (Hollister OHV).

It was a beautiful spring day, sunny and only lightly breezy. I had the top off and the windows down. There was a sun-dappled stretch of road with low-hanging branches, and not being too concerned about pin-striping, I drove right through it.

About 5 caterpillars, a bee, and a handful of spiders shook off the branches in through the top and sides of my Jeep.

My PSA: It's springtime and the bushes/trees are crawling with critters.

The first week with my Jeep I smacked my windshield, I now have Limb Lifters, as it is a pain to have my windshield replaced with a Light bar and ditch lights with the Limb Lifters too...

PS. I get a lot of Bee poop all over mine just sitting in the driveway....

Lagniappe is definitely a "bonus or gift". In this context, "surprise" and "oh sh*t" are also fitting.

Look, I can handle the crawlies if I know they're coming, but picking spiders and critters out of my hair while I'm trying to drive is asking a lot. That bee was bonus. Welcome to springtime.

Looking forward to hitting a trail while the grass is still green. Uniquely beautiful!
