Hello everyone, I am just getting into Overlanding and I’m looking for some advice on what is a good portable power station to get. I’m not sure the sized that I will need? Does anyone have any input on what size and type I should be looking for?

Hello, this is a great question, you need to find out what all items you need to charge, what their power source is wether it's USB, type C or ISO or android, 12volt, or ac plug. Once you determine how many charging sources you have, and you need to learn how the charge the power source, ac plug in, generator, or solar.

All these things will add up to the amount of power you require.

Jackery, Bluetti, and Anker are other options. If you're adventurous, you can also try building your own. Years ago, I built my first powerbank using a .50 cal ammo box and lead-acid batteries from dead UPSs. Prices for LiFePO4 batteries have really come down and there are so many options now, that building your own is really a labor of love.

Bottomline, figure out what you want to power, then shop around. Deals are always popping up.
