Myself and a few friends are heading to Downieville and Poker Flat this weekend 5/5. Has anyone been and know the current trail conditions? Or other near by places to explore?

Some rigs have gone the past 2 weeks and have gradually made it further but not more than 6-8 miles.

Thanks!

The yuba is still flowing high, so the crossing may be blocked. I speculate though, as I haven't been down there this year. Anxious to hear about conditions too, as this leads me back to my Plumas BDT that I need to finish.

Ahhh I didn't think about the creek crossing. Good point, that might still be a bit deep. A recon trip might be in order.

Well.............How was it ?... :)
Well as a small business owner I got stuck working. However my friends went and were able to punch through the snow that other groups were getting stuck in the last couple of weeks. Looked fun and the creek crossing was high but manageable. Looking forward to camping up there in June

Did they say how deep the creek crossing was?
