Yeah. The site has been really weird lately. It won't let me login to RSVP.
Oh okay. That was happening to me too. I’m not sure if it will help. I have an iPhone. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. I think I tried logging in on a computer too

I'll try tomorrow. Hopefully this message will go away, but count me in! I'll try to RSVP again on the official rally point.

It's all kinda wonky and they're working through the bugs as quick as they can. They'll get it all fixed. I'm having issues updating my RP for the monthly meet-up down this way as well.

I'm not particularly concerned. Anybody who signed up will be welcomed.

Details will keep coming here. Amazing to think, I believe we're one month out tomorrow. I'll be posting then with more recommended ideas about meet-up, etc.

I've been giving timing a lot of thought. It seems to me that because we have people coming in from great distances and because this is not an eight hour trail, by any means, that I think we should do our meet-up at 1000 on April 13.

Given that we all need to purchase the permits to be on the trail, I think the best place to meet would be the Big Apple Deli and Gas Station, located at 403 N. Main St., Edinburg VA 22824-94

This would give us the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone. Please let me know your collective thoughts on time and location.

Also, now would be a good time to discuss gear/capabilities. I will be bringing commo gear, recovery straps/shackles, a fairly extensive medical kit, a tool kit, a tire deflator and an air compressor.

I certainly intend to air down some for the run, and you are invited to as well; I am happy to loan you the use of my compressor.

I invite any discussion on personal capabilities (any doctors, mechanics, other specialists?), gear, airing up/down, or other relevant topic.

10 works for me. I would totally be down with hitting some trails in the area as well if time allows.

Since it seems like a good sized group will be attending, I think comms are important. I’ll have my ham radio as well as a cb. I wouldn’t mind getting a set of frs/gmrs radios if that’s what the group prefers.

One other thing, if you would be so kind, can you DM me your experience level (beginner, intermediate, advanced) because I\'ll come up with a rough list of the order we\'ll wheel in. Obviously we want experienced people in front and in the tailgunner slot, and I\'d like to divide up relatively less experienced/equipped drivers to space them out. In a perfect world, there won\'t be any two vehicles in a row lacking comms or recovery gear. Thanks.

Of course, I ain\'t your boss, and my suggestions are open to change! I just like to get conversations and ideas started.

Good thoughts!

It would be good for every rig to have front and rear tow points, a fire extinguisher, a full size spare tire that is in good condition, a jack that can lift your tires off the ground, a lug wrench or socket to fit your lug nuts and a security lock key if your wheels have those. Jumper cables and a tire plug kit are never bad additions to your kit either.

I tried to PM but it was being wonky...
I have wheeled a few times but would consider myself a beginner. The following is a list of gear I plan to carry on the trail:

Basic tools
compressor
tire repair kit
shovel
folding hand saw
first aid kit
rope
frs/gmrs comms

I am pretty mechanically inclined but by no means a mechanic. I have had intermediate to advanced first aid training but no current first aid certifications.

I would consider myself Intermediate. I've been wheeling for a few years and have a full loadout I take. I have compressor, tools, jack, some spare parts, fuses, CB hard mounted and FRS/GMRS Handheld, also a winch and recover straps/snatch block/tree, tire saver/shackles, tire repair, TREDS etc.
