What's this "after a long day on trail"? I pop the back vent window, roll em down, and chomp on one through the whole. Helps me not tense up. Then have another picked out for camp. If its an event I stick the humidor in the drawers, otherwise I grab a smaller wooden cigar box and get a fresh Boveda pack to keep em fresh. My favorites are La Aroma de Cuba, San Cristobal, and Rocky Patel, but I usually just grab whatevers on sale. I'll also do pipe tobacco occasionally.

I’m an Alec Bradley man myself. Love a Magic Toast or Superstition.

I smoked Winstons for 30 years. I quit for about 10 years but truly missed the smell of tobacco. Now I smoke a cigar on a daily basis. My go-to cigars are the Fuente 858 Maduro or the Cuban Corona Maduro but I keep a decent assortment in my humidor. If I'm out in the woods, I always have a cigar case with me. There is something about a cup of coffee and a cigar while sitting in the woods that is just lovely.

This, this right here. When this is happening, life is good. A cigar forces you to just sit for a while, and just lay back and soak it all in. This is why I like to bring cigars for the group when I go camping kind forces everyone to just hit pause for a second and enjoy the moment.

I like to sit in a camping chair after a great day, lean back and review the day with a cigar. And a good rum or whisky to go with it. Perfect. I always have my tiny mobile humidor with me.

Jim, Whats a cigar pass?
Lets say there are 5 or any number really but for this, say 5, I get a box and put in a variety of cigars, say 10, they must be humidically sealed (New word LOL), and I make a list of the 5 of use name, addy and cell, and I mail the box to #2, who selects 0-5 cigars to keep and MUST replace them with at least equal cost cigars, and he mails to #3, repeat till #4 mails it back to me.
It allows users to try new brands and strengths and allows us to share some of our favs with each other.
Some put items in, say lighters or whatever. I seen them with upto 60 people and go coast to coast.

I do enjoy a good cigar, specifically after a stressful day at work or a great deal on the trail followed up with a nice scotch and a campfire. I have two 50 sticks humidors at home and a five stick travel case For when on the road or the trails. So far A few of my favorites are, Cohiba red dot, dolce Vita, Nub, and most all Drew estate products.

Interesting idea Jim.

I use cigarbid.com and just make sure I order something different every time. This last deployment I smoked hundreds of different kinds and really changed my preferences as my palate changed. Cigarbid is nice because I save a ton of money and rarely ever remotely pay more than $3 a stick.

I recently went on a drew estate kick and have enjoyed some Cigar International Legend Toros by them. They’re great dessert cigars I’ve found.

I have been a cigar guy since the late 80's and went through the boom, bust, boom of the industry.
Been going to Cuba since then and the changes in that island is just flat amazing. From the days when the Dollar was king to when it was illegal and now we are back to the Dollar rules.
I run 2 winecoolers and 2 desktops with around 1500 sticks aging at any time.
if you enjoy other forums I recommend www.friendsofhabanos.com
As far as Non-Cubans Padron as been my steady for years.
In the Habanos world, Jose Piedras are great on the trail as you can't beat $2.50 for that cuban twang and after that I tend to stick with Minutos & Petite Corona sizes so I can have a variety.
Anyone near Phoenix is welcome to my patio or to burn a stick on the trail with me. I am a daily smoker in the mornings at the dog park and evening on my days off.IMG_20201219_115831_182.jpgIMG_20210115_170346_485.jpg

I smoke one in the evening and with a cup of coffee in the AM. Best way to end and start the day.

When I’m in the field, cigar and a cup of coffee is the breakfast of champions.
You hit it right on the head, my guy. That’s what I do whenever I’m deployed, working or just going for a drive. Actually come to think of it, just what I do every morning.
