Hallo, da ich zu den Leuten gehöre die frühzeitig Planen müssen und auch wollen habe ich mir mal ein paar Gedanken zu der Sache gemacht.
Ich denke wir sind uns alle einig das, falls wir uns in Deutschland treffen, es keine Veranstaltung wird bei der wir viel Fahren werden.
Mich persönlich stört das keineswegs, ein bisschen Camplife zu beginn der Saison würde mir gut gefallen.
Also hab ich überlegt wo man sich treffen könnte, relativ Zentral und vielleicht ein kleines bisschen besonders...
Nationalpark Kellerwald, einer der letzten Urwälder Europas, mit einem netten Stausee, tolle Natur und auch Historie (Edertalsperre)
hiking, biking, Wassersport usw alles machbar dort und ich kenne die Gegend ein bisschen.
Ich gebe zu das ich da wirklich nicht weit zu fahren hätte aber so wird das immer ausgehen wenn wir uns irgendwo Zentral treffen wollen ;-)
Der Zeitraum März/April 2019 ist ja gesetzt und passt, wie ich meine, auch sehr gut, beste Chancen auf brauchbares Wetter und wenig Touristen.
Es gäbe dort auch eine Art Campingplatz der spezielle Möglichkeiten für Gruppen bietet und hier kommen wir zu dem Problem...
Um irgendwas anzufragen brauchen wir einen Termin und eine ungefähre anzahl an Fahrzeugen/Personen.
Das heißt also wir müssten einen Termin finden und sich jeder mal darüber Gedanken machen ob er dort hin kommen möchte!
Ich würde gerne alle europäischen Mitglieder einladen auch wenn der Focus vermutlich klar auch Zentral Europa liegen wird...
Wenn wir uns auf einen Termin einigen können würde ich einen "rally point" erstellen angedacht ist Freitag-Montag, damit es sich ein bisschen lohnt für die die weiter zu fahren haben,
natürlich wäre dazwischen kommen und gehen jederzeit möglich.
Das ganze ist natürlich nur ein Vorschlag meinerseits, für andere Vorschläge bin ich jederzeit offen.

I need to plan early so I would like to start planning for the meet up march/april 2019, probably no driving on location but many other outdoor sports are possible in the National Park area "Kellerwald Edersee"
There is a camping spot that suits special needs of groups an we would have plenty of room there.
To make a request there I need some numbers of rigs/people and a date...
So we need to find a date!
Thought about a friday-monday span to suit people wo need to drive a few more kilometers to reach us, you can come and go whenever you want between this.
I would like to invite every european member including the other regions as well, but I`m quite sure we will have a focus on the central states.
This is only a suggestion from my side!

Realized that there is a offroad park about 45km away "böser wolf" so this would be a a possible driving spot and or another alternative camp area is there.

Thanks Mathias for your suggestion. I would most likely join such an event but can not give you a promise to a fixed date this early. So feel free to set a date and I am hopefully in.
Two thoughts: easter holiday /spring break could be bad because maybe some have other plans already, but could also be good for foreign OB members.
Mammut Park and Furstenforest are big offroad parks with large camp areas also for groups (as some of you know)
Somewhere in the mountains /alps with some laning would also be great.

No problem so far, we are early
I would like to avoid the Easter holidays, it's usually very crowded then and you're right Mammut and Fürsten forest are two other possible locations but very far if you are located in the south.
I'm waiting for a few more opinions for now before I set a date on my own.

Vom Bodensee aus, aber da ich eh durch Dänemark durch muss ist der Weg den ich durch Deutschland fahr ziemlich egal, also da bin ich flexibel.
I'm new to all this, but Kellerwald is around Edersee, right ? Have attended two Bullidays there, great area. I have also dreamed of getting my T4b California Coach syncro wet at Mammutpark

As a reply to the location recommendations, all the places are possible locations. Still not sure if a offroad park is the right place for us but we will see.

I think even though a few are quite experienced in handling the vehicle offroad, I still believe it's a nice opportunity for getting on trail. I'd opt-in for a trail day at an offroad park and also wouldn't mind it as a stop of a multiple day tour.
Speaking of that, I'd really like to have some sort of a travel combined with this event. We could have camp sites at various locations for sleeping and actions over a couple of days and at every stage people could join or leave the group as it suits them.

That would be a hard task... Nice idea but beyond everything I would be able to plan, but if someone else is ready to go, you can count me in

Hey guys, so as we planned next Year march/april would be great, just like MazeVX said. i also like his suggestion as a place for the meetup, because it really is relatively central. i would also suggest the ''Rhön'' area i know a view nice spots there where we also could have a little tour on smaller Roads up to a little ''Gashaus'' (small restaurant) which is for all the hikers, that like to enjoy the nature there. 72km away is a nice Campground (Campingplatz Rhönfeeling) where a lot of cars can park on, the good thing is, it's kept pretty simple but with all the stuff a campground needs, thanks to the nearby Hotel, which it is part of. Tenting is allowed. Well however thats just one suggestion from my self and i'm happy to hear different ones. a rally point would be a good thing to have:D Campfires are allowed too.

My point of view is that only a static meeting is possible. As we cant drive a tour with too much cars. An Off road park is fin with me, as long as we dont go being silly and macho.
Not my style and not the way I like to have a meeting.
Edersee oder such is fine with me, actually almost everything is fine for me.

Hi Robert, for me an offroad park is also fine, but as you say, nobody has to show what he's capable of and not. If like you say a static meeting is the only option, then i would support MazeVX idea. I mean just comming together to have a nice fire and barbeque and to talk is a great thing too !
